Paul N. Arena

Managing Partner

Paul Arena is the Founder and Managing Partner at Ex Voto Capital. 


Paul has more than three decades of financial services experience, spanning a variety of leadership roles and multiple alternative asset classes. Before founding Ex Voto Capital, Paul served as Chief Operating Officer of MIM Investment Management, a mid-market private equity real estate investment manager where he led capital formation for the firm. Prior to that, Paul ran Vauxhall Advisors, a boutique private capital advisory firm specializing in raising institutional capital and executing structured finance transactions across a range of real estate sectors. 


Paul has spent nearly 20 years at some of the most prominent global and national commercial real estate services and capital markets advisory firms, among them:


  • Atlantic-Pacific Capital | Global Head of Real Estate Fundraising and Private Placements 
  • The Carlton Group | Managing Director
  • Newmark | Senior Managing Director


In aggregate Paul has originated, negotiated and/or closed more than $50Bn in structured finance transactions. Paul also ran, as Chief Operating Officer, an open-ended, offshore real estate opportunity fund for almost a decade. Paul began his career with Lehman Brothers in New York.


Paul holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in Economics and Financial Theory from Fordham University in New York.
